The Collection
Fornstam Art Foundation is built around a growing collection of contemporary art.
The collection is developed through long-term engagement with artists and a focus on works that retain significance over time. FAF collects with attention to artistic practice, material and conceptual context, and the conditions in which work is produced.
While grounded in contemporary practice, the collection extends across historical positions, including selected works from early modernism to post-war movements. These works are held alongside recent production, establishing a dialogue across time and introducing depth within the collection.
Artists represented in the collection inform the foundation’s ongoing activity and collaborations. Through sustained relationships and ongoing exchange, the collection remains active—supporting new projects, research, and curatorial dialogue.
